As per the directions of CM Punjab, steps are being taken for the welfare of poets and writers across the province. In this regard, financial assistance for poets and writers is also being announced from Reuters Welfare Fund under the patronage of Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi. Deputy Commissioner handed over the cheques of Rs. 40,000 to Ajmal Khamoosh and Ghulam Shabbir Bagri during the ceremony. ADCR Muhammad Ikram Malik and District Information Officer were also present on the occasion. Addressing the function, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Punjab Government is taking such initiatives for the welfare of poets and writers and that they must be encouraged.
